Kumeū Kids is available for primary aged children and is usually held during the Sunday morning service with the children usually staying in for the first part of the service.
However, our regular Kumeū Kids programme is on hold while we make adjustments for COVID-19. Children are invited to join in their family’s engagement with online content, which will include themed activities especially designed for families.
Frenzy is for intermediate aged youth from Years 7 and 8. There are three elements to Frenzy:
1) During normal Sunday morning services, they are either in church, help out with Children’s church or they sometimes have their own time together exploring what it is to be a Christian and to live life to the full as Jesus intended. In our present, temporary arrangements, they are invited to join with the children’s activities and crafts or participate in the adult activities with their family.
2) During regular term time, there is a programme run fortnightly on Fridays from 7-9pm involving a mix of activities, games and Christian discussion/teaching.
3) Frenzy also attends eCamp at Finlay Park each Easter which is a Baptist camp for intermediates held over the Easter weekend. This is always a real highlight and a time of foundational spiritual growth and first time commitments. Sadly, eCamp has had to be cancelled in 2020 – but will be on again in 2021.
