Adapting in the changing world of COVID-19
COVID-19 is a new illness that spreads easily from person to person through droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes or breathes. You may get infected by the virus if you touch surfaces or objects on which droplets have settled, and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth. You can find more information about COVID-19 symptoms, transmission and prevention on the Ministry of Health (NZ) website.
We are presently meeting with extra measures in place to minimise the potential risk of spreading the virus. We recognise there are some who cannot presently join us, or prefer to keep a distance for now. For those staying home, we regularly share on our Facebook Page to engage online in worship, fellowship and teaching.
We have also formed Community Clusters for three or so households to keep connected on a smaller scale. These allow us to look out for one another’s wellbeing and pray for one another across generations. If you are not part of a Community Cluster and would like to be, please contact [email protected].
We are a community of faith, trusting in Jesus and reaching out to others. This may be tested in this season, but we hold fast to our unchanging God, looking to him in hope and to others in love.
